What Is Stored Locally

Scope saves your preference settings only (which features are enabled/disabled) on your device using Chrome’s local storage API.

This data:

✅ Is never transmitted anywhere
✅ Is not accessible to us or anyone else
✅ Is deleted when you uninstall the extension
✅ Can be reset anytime via the extension popup

Permissions Explained

Host Permission (youtube.com)

Scope needs access to youtube.com to detect and hide Shorts, recommendations, and comments. The extension only works on YouTube and cannot access any other website.

Storage Permission

Used to save your toggle preferences locally so they persist between browser sessions. No data is sent externally.

Third-Party Services

Scope uses zero third-party services:

No analytics (Google Analytics, etc.)
No advertising networks
No data brokers
No external APIs
No cloud storage

Since we collect no data, we have nothing to share or sell. We do not:

Sell user data
Share data with third parties
Use data for advertising
Transfer data for any purpose

Children’s Privacy

Scope does not collect any data from anyone, including children under 13. The extension is safe for all ages.
